About The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager/Controller to join our dynamic and growing finance team. You will play a vital role as the right hand of the CFO and in supporting our day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring the successful execution of our financial processes. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, from managing month end close to supporting the budgeting cycle.
The finance team meets in person once or twice weekly in our North Central Austin office (near the Arboretum), and this role will be expected to attend regularly. The salary for this role will be commensurate with the individual’s experience.
What You’ll Own
- Assist with building systems environment to allow the company to scale.
- Ensure systems are functioning, scaling and are designed properly.
- Manage month-end closing along with G/L accounting and reconciliation
- Support annual audits, tax filings and preparations of financials
- Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and expense reports
- Support budget preparation
- Ensure journal entries are supported and recorded properly.
- Prepaid expenses
- Accrued expenses
- Vendor Accruals
- Payroll Accruals
- Unbilled Accounts Receivable
- Other
- Reconcile the monthly bank statements.
- Assist with treasury management activities
- Payments to customers
- Payments to International Contractors
- Transfers to/from foreign Subsidiaries
- Prepare the monthly consolidation for the US and foreign subsidiaries
- Ensure reporting is accurate and correct.
- Expense report monitoring and review
- Vendor Management
- Customer AR Management/Collections
- Handle ad hoc projects and reports
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
- 3+ years of experience with degree, 5+ years of experience without a degree
- Software Company Experience
- QuickBooks, Sage Intact or NetSuite Experience
- Software Implementation Skills preferred
- DIVVY or RAMP Experience
- Experience with Avalara
